Japan Enamel (300, 700 & 900 Series)

Japan Enamel (300, 700 & 900 Series)

REALISE is always on the search for the latest in rubberized, coated fabrics. These newest materials are the softest, most elastic & strongest fabric yet. The knit foundation is opaque, making these suits great for beach and club wear. The urethane coating gives these suits a sumptuous rubber or vinyl feel. A great selection of colors and textures – mostly shiny, and now with a matt 'leather' texture, as well.

Surface: 100% polyurethane; lining: 85% polyurethane, 15% polyamide (nylon).

Enamel (200 Series)

Enamel (200 Series)

Now Out of Production: REALISE produced a limited run of Front Zip suits in Black & White as an improvement to the 100 series, which were semi-transparent, especially when wet. A heavier knit backing (than the 100 series), so more appropriate for public situations. This fabric is very shiny, like rubber or vinyl. White color retains some transparency, while the black is opaque – with the suit color resulting from both the knit backing *and* the rubberized coating being dyed.

Sticky Skin (100 Series)

Sticky Skin (100 Series)

Now Out of Production. This shiny fabric launched the Front-Zip style, and expanded the popularity of the REALISE brand. A clear urethane ‘rubberized’ coating over a dyed/colored knit backing provided more elasticity than the original REALISE suits, for a truly form fitting style! This fabric is slightly transparent, especially in red and blue. Semi-transparent when wet. Sensitive to overstretching, so review the sizing charts carefully.  Limited styles and color choices remain.

Surface: 100% polyurethane; Lining: 78% polyamide (nylon), 22% polyurethane.

SSW (Super Shiny Wet)

SSW (Super Shiny Wet)

A REALISE Original: A Super fine knit with terrific stretch and form fit. A mercerized shiny coat provides friction free glide though the water. Used in Swimsuit, 2-Piece and Gymnastic styles. Light colors are a bit transparent when dry, becoming more transparent when wet, while dark colors stay opaque. This SSW fabric is now out of production, and is being replaced by the new 2-Way Stretch fabric, featured in the FB-1 bodysuit and re-release Back Zip N-037 (N-0371) styles.

79% polyester, 21% polyurethane.

Second Skin (SST)

Second Skin (SST)

Now Out of Production: A very thin, soft and gossamer material. Stretchy and transparent. This fabric is also used in figure-skating costumes. More appropriate as lingerie.

SSW Striped

SSW Striped

The Stripe fabric is a modified SSW, with a polished alternating stripe. Similar to SSW, a thin and stretchy fabric, with polished alternating stripes. Slightly glossy and feels like Lycra and similar fabrics.
